Citi-Box Containers was established in 2005 by its current owner, Leighton Ward. Leighton’s background in business goes back to the early 90s when he started his first business at the age of 22.

Since then Leighton has successfully launched and developed a number of successful businesses, including a mobile electronics retail company, a Trans-Tasman mobile phone roaming company with business partner Optus Cable & Wireless Australia and professional sports management business, SportPro.

Now as the Managing Director of Citi-Box Containers, Leighton has grown this container company from a single container depot to a network of branches and depots around New Zealand, supplying his clients with a complete container supply chain solution.

One of the key strengths of Cit-Box Containers is our staff and our commitment to quality service and innovation in catering to its clients’ needs; from the individual container user to our corporate clients who may require more complex solutions. Most of all, our team enjoys our business and our company.

Citi-Box Containers also advocates for corporate citizenship, including the sponsoring of many people and organisations both locally and across New Zealand. Some of these include Life Education Trust, Womens Refuge, Coast Guard, various schools and sporting clubs to name a few.
